                                                             STORY

‘Raanjhanaa’ is a term used in Uttar Pradesh to refer to a person who is deeply and madly in love with someone. In this context, ‘Raanjhanaa’ is a story of Kundan (Dhanush), a Hindu Brahmin boy, living in the holy city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. In his childhood, Kundan falls in love with Zoya (Sonam Kapoor), a Muslim girl, and goes on to chase her till he turns 16. A series of events lead to Zoya being sent to Allahabad for further studies by her parents and soon Zoya forgets Kundan. She then returns to Varanasi after eight long years where Kundan is still eagerly and patiently waiting for the love of his life. But little does our Raanjhanaa know that Zoya is now a big girl and has fallen in love with her co-student and youth politician (Abhay Deol).
The focus then shifts to the question of whether Kundan can finally win Zoya’s love? This one question is what the rest of the movie is all about!

STORYLINE

A conscientious college student is wrongly accused of murder. Post his jail break, he attempts to take over the Mumbai mafia. Does he succeed? Or does he succumb to the law?

Sanjay Gupta's Shootout At Wadala largely draws inspiration from journalist-author S Hussain Zaidi's Dongri to Dubai-6 decades of the Mumbai mafia. But the maker takes the cinematic liberty of changing the material at hand to make his film and characters more engaging. Or should we say largely entertaining.

                                                          STORYLINE

Pious Paramvir's crooked father and brother, Dharam and Gajodhar, try scamming a British businessman - and his daughters. Will Param let the duo do it?
Rather like one of the many people Paramvir Singh ( Sunny Deol) pummels, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (YPD 2) totters between GJs (good jokes) and PJs (poor jokes). The GJs are sometimes very good - as scamster Gajodhar-turned-gentleman Prem, trying to impress Reet (Akheeva) with his knowledge of art, Bobby Deol hilariously confuses Zakir Hussain ("Woh 'Wah Taj' wala - woh toh tabla bajata hai, na?") with MF Hussain. Bobby then reappears as his artist-twin 'Q' - accompanied by "Hussain sahib ki ghori, Gaja Gamini". And there's the British lady overwhelmed by a painting, calling Mark and Spencer to come see it too.
